Madeleine Connal

Dancer. Choreographer. Dance Educator.

Madeleine Connal is a passionate and versatile dancer pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Dance Performance and Choreography with a minor in Arts Administration at Skidmore College. Connal is a Dean’s List honoree, and has trained in modern, ballet, and contemporary techniques under faculty including Jason Ohlberg, Erika Pujič, Brian Lawson, and David Otto. She has furthered her studies at the Joffrey Ballet School and internationally, including Orsolina 28 in Italy and the Young Stars Ballet Intensive in Germany.

At Skidmore, Connal has performed works by faculty members Jason Ohlberg and Erika Pujič, as well as guest artists Robert Battle (Step and Repeat), Brenda Way and Dexandro Montalvo (The Velocity of Winter), and Matthew Neenan (Credo, staged by Tara Keating). She has opened for BalletX at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and performed with Oberlin Dance Collective at the University of Albany.

Beyond performance, Connal is passionate about arts administration and community engagement. She served as a Dance Education Intern at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, teaching both foundational techniques and adaptive classes for students with disabilities. When she’s not dancing, Connal enjoys reading, painting, and taking her dogs for long walks!
